Position Title:Audio Visual Specialist

Location:Washington, DC

Hours: M-F; 0700-1530

Status:Full-Time; Salary-Exempt

Role and Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations for acquiring new audio and video system hardware and software and for improvements to existing audio and video systems and processes
  • Responsible for first-line user support for all scheduled Video Teleconference (VTC) sessions and first-line technical support for VTC equipment
  • Provide Tier 1, first-line troubleshooting for all the hardware and software configurations of the VTC systems, the MCU (bridge) hardware, the AV switching systems, and the control system devices.5.2.1.8 The Contractor shall be the Tier 1, first-line Point-of-Contact for all VTC related issues
  • Maintain a schedule of all unit VTC sessions
  • Establish connectivity prior to the start of any VTC session
  • Provide in room support during VTC sessions as needed
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to remote sites
  • Be the Tier 1, first-line point of contact for all the audio/visual systems and components (DVD, VCR, scanners, audio, display units, projectors, room control systems, etc.)
  • Train to setup, connect, operate and provide basic troubleshooting of the VTC suite.
  • Provide routine checks of AV and VTC equipment
  • Set up and configure streaming video and video-on-demand system
  • Provide AV equipment/system configuration, setup and onsite support for outdoor events

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Public Trust

Experience (required):

  • 5+ years of Audio Visual experience
