Job Description Summary:

D&G is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Data Engineer to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A). I&A’s vision is to be a dominant and superior intelligence enterprise that drives intelligence integration at all levels. I&A specializes in sharing unique intelligence and analysis with operators and decision-makers to identify and mitigate threats to the homeland. I&A’s main focus is to equip the Department with the intelligence and information it needs to keep the Homeland safe, secure, and resilient. I&A balances its efforts on integration at the tactical level with providing strategic analysis on threats to the Homeland. I&A’s top priority is to align its intelligence resources across the Intelligence Enterprise (IE).

The Senior Data Engineer is part of a dynamic, multi functional team supporting DHS I&A responsible for providing intelligence analysis, intelligence collection, and enabling information sharing with DHS, fusing raw reporting from DHS operators with information from across the Intelligence Community (IC).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead data and requirements gathering from government stakeholders including conducting research and providing analysis of overall business and performance requirements to determine if an appropriate solution already exists.

  • Perform analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and other organization metrics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

  • Supports business analysis, design, and implementation of data warehouse initiatives.

  • Analyze data and incorporate all analysis findings into creating dashboard visualizations, reports, or other presentation formats to brief senior DHS I&A leadership.

  • Design, develop, enhance, and present any new or existing data visualizations including process flow diagrams, drafts project reports, and I&A training materials.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 7 years’ experience supporting Data Analysis or Performance Analysis.

  • 5-7 years experience with MySQL, Python, and Excel, Power BI

  • 3-5 years ETL experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI

Additional Requirements:

Desired Skills:

  • Experience analyzing processes and data across multiple organizations.

  • Proven capability use that analysis and write/formulate DHS HQ level policies, directives, and SOPs.

  • Experience support the DHS Intelligence Community (IC)

Location:

  • HYBRID, With 2-3 days a week at DHS HQ - 3800 Nebraska Ave NW Washington, D.C. 20016
