VISTRADA Security System Engineer in Washington DC, District Of Columbia

Job Posting: Security System Engineer (Junior/Intermediate/Senior Level)

Vistrada is currently seeking highly skilled and motivated Security System Engineers to join our esteemed team. As a Security System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, ensuring the secure integration and operation of systems, and providing timely response actions to security incidents. We have openings for Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Level positions.

Position: Security System Engineer Level: Junior/Intermediate/Senior

Personnel Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree in the IT field or equivalent experience.

  • For Junior Level: At least five (5) years of experience with Security Administration for application or technologies according to task order specifications and at least five (5) years of experience in full SDLC for IT projects.

  • For Intermediate Level: At least seven (7) years of experience with Security Administration for application or technologies according to task order specifications and at least seven (7) years of experience in full SDLC for IT projects.

  • For Senior Level: At least 10 years of experience with Security Administration for application or technologies according to task order specifications and at least 10 years of experience in full SDLC for IT projects.

Capabilities:

  • Identifies and mitigates vulnerabilities using alternate or compensating controls if necessary.

  • Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots IA software issues in conjunction with other IA staff to ensure timely response actions to security incidents.

  • Recognizes potential security violations, takes appropriate action to report the incident as required by regulation, and mitigates any adverse impact.

  • Implements applicable patches, including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA) for assigned operating system(s).

  • For Junior Level: Performs information assurance activities in data center environments, assists with the installation, daily operation, and maintenance of IA systems to include technical support, troubleshooting, and system testing.

  • For Intermediate Level: Provides network environment (NE) and advanced level computing environment support to include perimeter controls, internal network monitoring, sensor implementation, and analysis under general supervision of a network manager.

  • For Senior Level: Supports advanced computing, network, or enclave environments, applies extensive knowledge of a wide range of IA concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of all enclave systems. Solves IA problems quickly and completely by working independently or leading and directing others.
