VISTRADA Privacy Engineer in Washington DC, District Of Columbia

Job Posting: Privacy Engineer (Junior/Intermediate/Senior Level)

Vistrada is currently seeking skilled Privacy Engineers to join our innovative team. As a Privacy Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Privacy Act documentation, implementing privacy measures, and providing expert guidance on privacy best practices. We have openings at Junior, Intermediate, and Senior levels, offering candidates with varying levels of experience the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to our organization's success.

Position: Privacy Engineer Level: Junior/Intermediate/Senior

Personnel Qualifications: Junior Level:

  • A bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relative experience, or

  • A master's degree and one (1) year of relative experience, OR

  • At least seven (7) years of relative experience in an IT or Legal field in lieu of a degree.

  • At least three (3) years' experience in developing, implementing, or evaluating Privacy Act documentation.

  • At least two (2) years' experience in NIST, FISMA, and Privacy Act compliance background, experience developing, implementing, or evaluating Privacy Threshold Analysis, Privacy Impact Analysis, and System of Record Notices.

Intermediate Level:

  • A bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relative experience, OR

  • A master's degree and one (1) year of relative experience, OR

  • At least seven (7) years of relative experience in an IT or Legal field in lieu of a degree.

  • At least three (3) years' experience in developing, implementing, or evaluating Privacy Act documentation.

  • At least two (2) years' experience in NIST, FISMA, and Privacy Act compliance background, experience developing, implementing, or evaluating Privacy Threshold Analysis, Privacy Impact Analysis, and System of Record Notices.

  • One or more of the following certifications preferred:

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)

  • Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)

  • Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)

  • Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)

Senior Level:

  • A bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of relative experience, OR

  • A master's degree and six (6) years of relative experience, OR

  • At least 15 years of relative experience in an IT or Legal field in lieu of a degree.

  • At least six (6) years' experience in developing, implementing, or evaluating Privacy Act documentation.

  • At least five (5) years' experience in Privacy Act, NIST, and FISMA compliance background, experience developing, implementing, or evaluating Privacy Threshold Analysis, Privacy Impact Analysis, and System of Record Notices.

  • At least five (5) years' experience working on cybersecurity or privacy engagements with the federal government.

  • At least two (2) full privacy project experiences.

  • One or more of the following preferred certifications:

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)

  • Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)

  • Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)

  • Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)

Capabilities:

  • Implementation of full Privacy Act activities and processes.

  • Experience in FISMA, Privacy Act, and NIST Framework.

  • Solid understanding and experience developing Privacy Threshold Analysis, Privacy Impact Assessments, and System of Record Notices.

  • Identify privacy risks, develop specific corrective action plans to mitigate risks, and assist in engineering solutions.

  • Experience developing Privacy Act compliance strategy and implementation plan.

  • Provide strategic Privacy Act methodology and best practice recommendations.

  • Excellent oral and written communications on project status and issues with leadership.

  • Communicate privacy topics to customer management and key stakeholders.

  • Interface with customers to educate on privacy concepts and best practices.

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience implementing privacy best practices.

  • Strong team player committed to excellence.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
