VISTRADA Cloud Administrator in Washington DC, District Of Columbia

Job Posting: Cloud Administrator (Intermediate Level)

Vistrada is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Cloud Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our cloud computing systems. This position is at the Intermediate level, and we are looking for candidates with a strong background in cloud technologies and system administration.

Position: Cloud Administrator Level: Intermediate 

Personnel Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics is highly desired.

  • Experience with DevOps methods and practices.

  • One or more of the following or its equivalent:

  • Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required.

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate certification preferred.

Capabilities:

  • Experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.

  • Demonstrated fundamental understanding and working knowledge of core components of the Linux operating system, including the management of user and group accounts in LDAP configuration of DHCP, DNS, and TFTP.

  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting large scale cloud computing systems, including familiarity with distributed systems for storage and retrieval of data.

  • Strong experience with Linux and/or Windows systems administration.

  • Some programming experience, applicable to developing cloud management tools (one or more of Bourne/bash shell, ruby, python, perl).

  • Demonstrated experience with configuration management tools.

  • Understanding of the end-to-end Linux PXE/Network provisioning process.

  • Familiarity with managing continuous integration tools.

  • Experience with Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services.

  • Understanding of overall corporate architecture as well as familiarity with OpenSSL and Java keystore manipulation.
