  1. Post credit card payments that are received through the lockbox.
  2. Post credit card payments that are received over the phone.
  3. Contact carriers to reject virtual credit card payments.
  4. Attach notes to claims in the Availity edit/error report.
  5. Attach notes to HCFA forms.
  6. Retrieve notes from medical records systems for billing staff.
  7. Process Affidavits, Attorney Requests, Housing Verification Forms
  8. Review faxes
  9. Prepare mail for post office pickup.
  10. Review and process accounts to be sent to collection.
  11. Research and identify patients on State of Rhode Island workers comp checks.
  12. Achieve goals as established by ORI.
  13. Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with all ORI staff to resolve problems and increase knowledge of account management.
  14. Actively participates in department meetings.
  15. Ability to successfully track and follow up on information requests.
  16. Conducts follow-up on all insurance and self-pay accounts.
  17. Monitors and resolves problems in the accounts receivable cycle.
  18. Assists administrator in investigating new opportunities to expedite and enhance reimbursement.
  19. Payment posting processes.
  20. Tracks and alerts to updates of fee schedules and insures entry into software system.
  21. Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
  22. Completes additional projects and duties as assigned.
