Continuous Improvement Specialist

About the role:

To support our new operating model, we are seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist responsible for driving the execution of strategic projects, creating value for customers through processes optimization. Supporting the CI/Lean Six Sigma culture through training and coaching of others and passing on knowledge, building capability.

  • Facilitate a One Xylem approach and provide leadership for developing and implementing a CI roadmap for Poland.

  • Ensure and approach of systematic sharing of best practices, tools, information, project ideas and results

  • Partner with CI CT and Services leaders to facilitate idea generation and ensure collaboration on pipelines of improvement opportunities and projects

  • Ensure alignment of priorities for improvements to meet business needs and targets in addition to the sub regional needs.

  • Lead developing a joint approach for standardization of processes and alignment towards common tools/platforms and processes.

  • Support alignment around implementation of metrics to validate results and tracking performance and progress.

  • Responsible for savings targets for the CTs.

  • Initiate collaboration between CT Leaders for resources and staffing for projects on an as needed basis and to support development of skills and capabilities in the Business teams.

  • Drive collaboration on strengthen the CI culture with the aims of enhancing the ability for the organizations to solve key business challenges and improve the customer services.

  • Facilitate, train and coach in the use of CI practices, processes and tools applied to commercial, transactional and service activities.

  • Role model for a One Xylem approach, using enterprise thinking and a collaborative, customer focused approach to solve problems.

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.

  • Facilitate workshops or kaizens to support sales teams with analysis and decision making.

  • Other reporting, advanced analysis and supporting activities to enable the CT to be more efficient with decision making, creation of better reporting tools etc.

Qualifications:

  • BA, MSC degree

  • 3+ years of experience in project management

  • Black Belt certification

  • Fluent in oral and written English. Another European language is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel (domestic and abroad a few times a year)

  • MS Office user-level knowledge

  • Previous background from multinational companies and exposure to multi-sites global network;

  • Experience in commercial and services processes

  • Process improvement experience: Lean / Six Sigma / Project Management certifications as a plus;

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills
