Google Technical Writer, Cloud Networking in Warsaw, Poland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in technical writing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Writing, Engineering, or scientific-related field.

  • 2 years of technical writing experience.

  • Experience in a related technical area.

  • Experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science course material, or IT administration playbooks).

  • Experience authoring technical documentation, developer facing content, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), networking protocols, or network architecture.

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.

In this role, you have the opportunity to lead and help create quality, user-focused content for the Networking products of Google Cloud. Working closely with other Technical Writers, Engineers, and PMs, you will author content, advocate for and prioritize users needs, and help define, refine, and execute on plans for the content across products and/or strategic initiatives.

Within these parameters, you can choose how you'd like to solve these problems. There are opportunities to work with UX research, on tooling, or dig deep into the technology. We strongly believe there are multiple paths to success!

  • Communicate effectively, establish work processes and strategies, organize work groups, manage expectations, and report status across teams.

  • Work with the Development, Sales, Marketing teams, partners, and other internal groups.
