JOB DESCRIPTION
UL Solutions is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented technical expert to join our Commercial Technology team as a Data and Integration Management Specialist to be primarily responsible for contact data management, integrity, governance, and related integrations.
Your primary focus is to provide the organization with access to the most accurate (contact) data with appropriate documentation. The contact data attributes include demographic, firmographics, preference, behavioral, and engagement data, utilizing systems like Adobe Marketo, Salesforce, Demandbase, and Informatica. Your secondary focus is other data stored within Commercial Technology, including campaign and content data.
To achieve this, you develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures as well as design data (integration) mappings and processes using relevant tools and technologies. You manage and maintain databases, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data. You implement data quality checks and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. You oversee the acquisition, integration, and validation of data from various sources.
You implement and monitor data security measures to safeguard sensitive data and collaborate with data privacy and IT security to mitigate risks. In cooperation with the analytics team, you extract meaningful insights from data and roll out actionable reports and dashboards.
You identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains and keep yourself abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance data management and integration strategies. You create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, mappings, and configurations. Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
Your familiarity with appropriate tools and techniques will make you successful in collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing large amounts of information as well as designing better processes for data management and integrations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and administer data management and integration policies and procedures in accordance with data privacy and security requirements
Manage data quality including data acquisition and data migrations
Define merge and duplicate detection rules to keep databases clean
Support in defining, implementing and managing scoring models, integrations, and system configurations across commercial technology
Support evaluation and analysis of technology adoption, usage, and governance
Make required data available for applications or end users as requested
Design and implement integrations and API calls between applications
Conduct data analysis and design mappings
Create and maintain detailed documentation
Provide training and support
Proactively review and identify areas to increase efficiencies
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or related field
+3 years of data management and integration experience
Proven experience in data management, integrations and mapping including ETL process, REST and SOAP APIs, and data modeling
Strong understanding of database systems, data governance, and data security principles
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Extremely detail-oriented, self-starter who can multi-task well in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility to multi-task across projects with varying deadlines.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience with commercial technology in business to business environment
Experience with Adobe Marketo, Salesforce, Informatica, and Demandbase
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
Proficiency in relevant data management tools and technologies
A working knowledge of data retention practices and privacy laws, including CASL, GDPR and CCPA a plus
