Unilever Commercial Finance Junior Manager HC in Warsaw, Poland

JOB PURPOSE

Responsibility for Commercial & Sales Finance activities in Poland, partnering all cross-functions, highlighting Marketing, Customer Strategy Planning and Customer Development functions. This role requires business-oriented mindset, challenging attitude and excellent communication skills and style. The role sits at the heart of the commercial decision-making process to develop plans and actions together with the business to realize the strategy and in-year plans. If you are passionate about delivering high performance in a complex business environment with a problem-solving and owner’s mindset, this is the role for you. Within the role you will play critical role in driving Trade Marketing Investments topics and ensure proper governance of customer forecasting processes.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Taking care about correctness of Rebate accruals in Poland: creation, changes, Consumer Price Promotions from Trade Promo Management tool , prio year revision, etc.

  • Secure critical reports in organization like Customer Accounting Profitability , promo spend.

  • Working closely with audit team regarding TMI controls, coordinating of statutory KPMG audit in terms of rebate accruals.

  • Leading the OTC controls across channels.

  • Close cooperation with Katowice HUB and Genpact ( 3rd party service provider) to deliver pricing in line with expectation.

  • Supporting commercial decision-making for Customer Development teams, Marketing and Customer Strategy Planning.

  • Financial support in negotiation.

  • Trade Marketing Investments budget control and Rebate Accruals governance, Both Trade Terms (contractual rebates) and Consumer Price Promotions accordingly to limits.

  • Helping in ensuring the control framework is in place and working.

  • Marketing budget control and help in budget related questions.

  • Bringing curiosity to drive progress and financial improvements in several areas (e.g. process simplification).

  • Support to Commercial Finance Lead in forecasting process, actuals and performance analysis.

  • Support in Integrated Business Plan , yearly process.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    Experiences & Qualifications

  • Professional finance qualification.

  • 4+ years of experience in financial, operational and/ or business partnering roles.

  • Biased towards actions that have the most impact to the business.

  • Has a good understanding of FMCG P&L & experience with month-end/ FC processes.

  • Being able to work under time pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to see the big picture, whilst interested to dive into details.

  • Proactive, hands-on mentality to ensure things get done and holding self & others accountable.

  • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills.

  • Fluency in Polish and English is a must (both written and oral).

  • Has critical thinking to challenge the status-quo.

  • Experience in being accountable for Target delivery and taking responsibility.

  • High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, good P&L understanding.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including working with large amounts of data in Excel.

  • Ability to work fluidly with data and across systems.

  • High understanding and fluent use of PBI tools, like: Analyse My Business (performance management tool) Transfer Prices Information Tool (COGS per unit database) , Cost Control.

  • Strong analytical skills, and accounting and data accuracy skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong prioritisation skills.

  • Excellent engagement, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Strength in holding others accountable, particularly peers and senior leadership.
