Club Manager Duties: Oversee all club operations Create and maintain a positive image for the club and facility. Be the first point of contact for members and visitors and to promote the Club externally and internally in a professional and friendly manner, enhancing the reputation of the Club. Provide good communication to the clubs members and other key audiences. Provide support for and maintain positive relationships with vendors, staff, members, and other partners. Achieve high performance from all staff by utilizing effective leadership and management techniques. Assist in the creation of event and marketing plans and budgets. Decide which areas need to be expanded upon, and which areas need improvement and provide recommendations to House Committee. Establish sales objectives
Requirements And Skills: Proven experience as a Club Manager ANSI-accredited Food Manager certification or ability to complete a food manager training course and obtain a passing score on the ANSI-accredited Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) exam within 30 days of hire. Completion or ability to complete a state-approved bartending training program and to obtain a bartending license with the Indiana ATC (Alcohol Tobacco Commission). Ability to obtain a gaming license. Above-average communication skills. Strong leadership capabilities. Knowledge of inventory management and club procedures. Ability to maintain constant communication with staff. Problem solving and decision-making skills. Effective conflict resolution and troubleshooting abilities. High school diploma or GED. Strong performance management and coaching skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to pass a standard background check. Preferred Experience: One or more years of experience in a management position.
Club Manager Responsibilities: Provide clients with superior services, products and guidance. This position is highly visible to our members, guests and staff. Listening to their input, praise and constructive criticisms towards constant improvement will lead to outstanding outcomes. Plan, manage, and execute all operational aspects of the business. To bring industry best practice to all areas of the Clubs activities and play a pivotal role in delivering the Clubs operational, financial and strategic goals. Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, and oversee their day-to-day work. The Club Manager will be an integral part of the team and will be expected to work in both the bar and kitchen as necessary. Attend all Event Committee meetings and work with the Events Committee to maintain advertising, marketing, and promotional materials, such as signage, advertisements, and social media inputs. Direct, supervise and assist with event marketing, preparation and cleanup. Schedule events regularly to drive membership and build community awareness. Establish and maintain a best practices approach in controlling expenses while maintaining member satisfaction. Maintain an accurate record of all operating and financial results, such as revenue and cost of goods sold. Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal statutes and regulations. Maintain legal compliance with all club policies and procedures. Action decisions from the House Committee in a timely, professional manner and to provide support as well as monthly and other reporting to ensure delivery of key Business Plan milestones. The Club Manager reports to the Chairman of the House Committee and will attend House Committee meetings not related to the Club Manager position. Oversee all aspects of club operations. Supervise team members and volunteers and provide them with the training and direction they need to meet company and personal expectations. Handle associate grievances, complaints and questions in a prompt manner. Involve Legion Commander and Post Adjutant when necessary to handle sensitive situations and complaints. For paid employees, prepare performance appraisals quarterly with sign-off by House Committee Chair and deliver them to each associate on a one-on-one basis. For paid employees, discipline team members as needed, including issuing verbal warnings, write-ups and termination. Make recommendations for discipline and/or termination to other managing members of your staff as appropriate. For volunteers, provide any pertinent information to the Chairman of the House Committee for addressal with the Legion Commander and Post Adjutant.
