We are now recruiting for a Lead CDM Engineer to join us on our major project located in Warrington

Purpose and Scope:

As Lead CDM Engineer you will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase of projects. Under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager, interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, subcontractors, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on an assigned project.

Essential Responsibilities:

Performs engineering calculations, prepares specifications, performs analyses, performs testing, issues reports and maintains related data

Maintains liaison with design and drafting groups

Prepares and reviews drawings as required

Advises the Lead Project Engineer about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, delays and adverse problems

Ensures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks

Plans and schedules engineering efforts associated with assigned project

Maintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities

Keeps proper engineering files and records

Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments

Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities and pursues additional training

Expresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of others

Familiar with codes, permits and company cornerstone applications

Familiar with the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within engineer's discipline

Can read and understand construction drawings

Can fully integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutions

Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Experience:

Ideally Degree Qualified or HNC/HND in engineering discipline

Previous experience in highly regulated industries

Proven experience in delivering projects of over £1 million

Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills

Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment previous experience of managing high value projects

Proven knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management

You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
