Waltonen Tooling Processor in Warren, Michigan

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Tooling Processor to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Report to Waltonen Processing Manager

  • Contribute to the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects

  • Support major and minor engineering projects within a specified area of administrative and technical guidance to a group of employees

  • Develop product sequence sheets (flow charts)

  • Create and maintain time studies for operators and machines.

  • Process with ergonomics in mind for operator stations

  • Coordinate resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Manage timing and weld documentation.

  • Ensure coordination between design groups, regulatory functions, and internal activities.

  • Prepare general specifications

  • Support, coordinate, and execute all quality initiatives

  • Meet all customer requirements, specifications, and requests

  • Suggest and support all continuous improvement efforts

    Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in Siemens UG/NX for navigation and observation.

  • Experience in light or heavy automotive body-in-white (BIW) engineering.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Strong attention to detail and structured processes.

  • Strong written and face-to-face communication skills in large and small teams

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Siemens Process Designer or eM-Planner

  • Knowledge of GM standard deliverables (STDS, WESS, SPD, XRWD’s).

  • Understanding of peripheral automotive BIW departments and their deliverables.
