ARAMARK Event Assistant - GM Warren Annex A - Administrative Services in Warren, Michigan

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as an Event Assistant and support meetings/events at the General Motors Technical Center ? Warren Campus. The Event Assistant will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the event management team with daily tasks

  • Monitor new event requests daily and ensure they are approved/denied in a timely manner

  • Create and maintain event documents, including room diagrams and campus maps

  • Verify room setups are correct, including tables, chairs, podium, riser, catering tables, and additional items as required; Notify appropriate departments if room setups are incorrect and ensure the adjustments

  • Schedule Corrigo work orders to support upcoming events

  • Prepare event reports in Microsoft Excel and attend weekly event meetings

  • Assist event managers in sourcing room availability for event requests, offering additional support as needed

  • Monitor event team?s shared email inbox on a daily basis

  • Provide exceptional customer service to meeting organizers and address any inquiries or concerns

  • Submit digital artwork to Ricoh for event signage to be printed

  • Track inventory of event furniture and maintain organization of storage areas

  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
