Waltonen CAD Detailer - Creo in Warren, Michigan

Waltonen Engineering is seeking an Entry CAD Detailer to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Report to Waltonen Design Leader

  • Utilize Creo to complete part drawings including the creation of detailed drawings

  • Establish design for new products and improvements to parts 

  • Complete design calculations within predefined design standards 

  • Make drawing revisions to reflect how tools have been modified

  • Collaborate with designers and engineers on project requirements

    Qualifications

  • Exposure to a 3D CAD software

  • Intermediate mechanical drafting skills

  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with superiors, peers, and subordinates

  • Individual time management skills

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including overtime hours as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Vehicle Design, Product Development or related degree

  • Experience with Creo software

  • Familiarity with Teamcenter is a plus

  • Understanding of materials and their usage and various manufacturing operations and processes

  • Comprehensive math background
