Job Description

We have a need for a Senior Software/Electrical Engineer to support high-quality engineering, scientific, and technical support services under contract to current government customers located in Warner Robins, Ga. The person selected for this position will work both individually and in a team environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Data analysis, root-cause analysis and tear down analysis of aircraft electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components and subsystems, including embedded software, to identify problems causing poor reliability and/or performance.

  • Research, design, prototype development and testing of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components and subsystems, including embedded software, most often to remedy problems impacting performance and/or reliability.

  • Research, design, development and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment, power electronics; communications equipment and systems; circuitry components and integrated circuits; analog and digital computers, processors, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and associated firmware; and control and test equipment.

  • Design, development, document, test and debug of applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions, ensuring software standards are met.

  • Creation of production level technical data packages.

  • Work directly with senior technical personnel and project managers in the planning and execution of technical activities on complex projects related to product development. Assignments may require the development of improvements to current techniques and procedures.

  • Prepare and review input to technical reports, status reports, letters, technical memoranda, contract reports and formal briefings. May author or co-author technical reports.

  • Prepare and provide formal briefings to the staff and project sponsors. Lead technical discussions at project review sessions and in negotiations with the project sponsor.

  • Identifies opportunities for follow-on tasking for current projects; develops related briefings, specific project proposals, and works through appropriate channels to schedule presentation of these briefings and proposals to prospective customers.

  • Provide input and support to larger intra-organizational proposal development efforts. May have some exposure to and provide input to inter-organizational technical and business development activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.

  • Demonstrated command of engineering principles, methods, and techniques in area of expertise.

  • Advanced knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.

  • Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite programs, AutoCad, SQL, C++, and other programming languages.

  • A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience with Solid Works or equivalent 3D modeling program.

Physical Requirements

  • May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
