Amentum Program Manager in Warner Robbins, Georgia

POSITION SUMMARY

Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a Program Manager for a pending contract award.

The Program Manager (PM) will work on a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation / Chemical Management Services (CMS) contract in the Warner Robbins Air Logistics Complex (AR-ALC) on the Air Force base in Warner Robbins, GA.

The PM will be responsible for the performance of work and oversight of all contract matters relating to daily operations of this contract. The PM ensures and oversees all work requirements to ensure professional and quality services are provided to the Customer in accordance with PWS requirements, while maintaining safety as the highest priority. The PM responsibilities will include supervision and management of all operations including supervision and management of all personnel.

The PM will lead a large logistics team in the acquisition, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials and hazardous waste and other duties as required.

The Program Manager will be available within 1 hour to meet on the installation with Government personnel as required.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Perform duties as our authorized representative for the overall performance of all services required under this contract to include direct oversight and management of subcontractor performed contract services.

  • Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for contractual or administrative questions or difficulties that arise related to the contract, interfacing with the CO, COTR, and Government leadership on a daily basis.

  • Ensure continuity of support during Amentum personnel changes.

  • Assist company leadership and Vice President with the management and implementation of the Program Management Plan.

  • Oversee and execute the contract Transition Plan.

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for formal discussions with subcontractors, including frequent interaction with the intent to sustain and foster positive relations.

  • Review business systems administration, resources, procedures, and methods to improve operational effectiveness, utility, and efficiency.

  • Monitor cost control, financial reports, budgeting, and overall operating costs.

  • Oversee the coordination of work priorities and monitoring of methods, procedures, and programs.

  • Recommend, develop, implement, establish, and enforce procedures and programs to increase efficiency and improve cost effectiveness to the program.

  • Adhere to company and government processes, regulations, and statutes.

  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

  • Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, and identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

  • Direct the work of a diverse employee population assigned to the program.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three years (3) previous experience at a US military installation with similar mission/project in scope and nature as a Program / Site Manager

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Person with a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute or other similar certification preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with respect to metrics and process improvement

  • Valid US or local driver's license and US passport

  • Ability to obtain/maintain DOD Secret Clearance

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, business, or associated discipline; may substitute two (2) additional years of experience in related field for each year of college.
