Electrical Controls Engineer

ATS Scientific Products is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team.

This remote position, based in the Raleigh-Durham area, entails significant travel (40-50% of the time) to our Warminster, PA facility and various customer sites. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate control systems for pharmaceuticalmanufacturing processes, adhering to GAMP guidelines and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand projectrequirements and develop appropriate solutions. Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting, both remotely and onsite. Provide technical support and training to customers on installed control systems. Travel to Scientific Products facilities and customer sites for project installations,commissioning, and ongoing support. Independently manage assigned projects and deliverables, ensuring timelycompletion and customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain documentation, including software change requests, IOlists, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in control systemtechnologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Extensive experience in programming and configuring Allen Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk View ME, SCADA systems, servo motors and drives, and VFDs. Strong understanding of control system design principles and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently andcollaboratively. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to travel extensively (40-50%) to customer sites nationwide. Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will initially work full-time at a customer site in the Raleigh- Durham area to complete a project expected to last until the end of January 2025. Following this project, the candidate will continue to work on various ATS Scientific Products controls projects, with occasional travel required to our Warminster, PA facility or other customer sites needing SP controls support.
