Job Description

DUTIES:

Work on automation technology projects end to end: from project planning to implementation.

Utilize programming skills to deliver solutions in Pharma 4.0, SCADA, MES, and PLC.

Contribute to automation design reports covering Pharma 4.0 systems, OT networks, control networks, and control software and systems architectures.

Develop corporate and organizational policies related to standardization and implementation of automation and digital architecture enabling platforms.

Collaborate with Pharma 4.0 leaders and IT Architects to select compatible technologies.

Provide training on the developed control systems and procedures for operations and maintenance.

Participate in network IOT assessments, identify opportunities for lean, process digitalization and automation, manage concept solution and product development projects.

Stay abreast of innovations within Pharma 4.0 and new digital technology platforms by actively participating in industry peers groups and forums.

Travel : Up to 25% travel required domestic and international. Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience as a Principal Analyst, Technical Consultant, or related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years as a Principal Analyst, Technical Consultant, or related occupation as an equivalent alternative.

Required knowledge or experience with:

Automation Technologies and Platforms, Pharma 4.0 digital maturity models and systems;

PLC, HMI SCADA systems such as Delta V, Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, and iFix;

Industrial communication protocols such as Ethernip/IP, Profibus, and Modbus;

Communicating and data collection from systems such as sensors, controllers, and industrial systems; and

Pharmaceutical operations: OSD, steriles, biologics, API, and viral vectors.
