How will you make an impact?

You will play a pivotal role focusing on improving commercial analytics and pricing capabilities for AIG. The role's responsibilities encompass the development of sophisticated analytics, tools, and dashboards crafted to furnish insightful business intelligence, facilitating informed decision-making processes for the AIG commercial teams.

The ideal candidate will provide a blend of robust technical competence and hands-on experience with large data sets, complemented by excellent communication and partnership aptitudes, enabling effective interactions with complementary teams. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for aspirational talents to deepen their grasp of data science, business intelligence, and the intricacies of commercial management in a highly visible setting.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with Division Commercial and Finance teams to develop advanced data analytics, models, and dashboards to derive insights, monitor commercial performances, and assess funnel health.

  • Leverage data analytics/science tools (e.g., gene.ai) to empower commercial teams in identifying new leads, cross-selling opportunities, and market trend shifts.

  • Translate business challenges and opportunities into quantitative analyses to uncover actionable patterns and insights!

  • Provide expertise in price setting, discount adjustments, and promotion design, ensuring thoughtful tradeoffs between price and volume to drive share gain and volume uptick.

  • Deliver regular pricing reports and implement tools to guide business partners in making informed decisions, while analyzing market trends, opportunities, and risks.

  • Lead business reviews emphasizing pricing insights and strategies, ensuring efficient market positioning and potential improvements.

  • Ensure data quality and readiness, handling tasks like data clean-up, integration, transformation, and validation.

  • Collaborate with business partners and D&T teams to establish robust data pipelines catering to diverse analytics needs, and further a data-driven decision-making culture.

  • Craft use cases, develop mock-ups, and refine tools based on iterative business feedback. Lead all aspects of user acceptance testing (UAT), tool demos, and training sessions.

How will you get here?

Education

BS or MS Degree in Finance, Business, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline

Experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, commercial analytics, or related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience of building in depth data/financial models

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI. Python experience preferred but not required

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate sophisticated data models and business problems

  • Ability to work across a matrix org structure and influence business partners

  • Self-motivated, able to drive actions to completion with intensity and ownership

  • Passionate about learning business and data

  • Proven ability to prioritize and self-direct workload, influence others and manage time independently.

  • Ability to travel (10%)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $84,400.00–$120,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
