Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is currently seeking an individual with exceptional work behaviors and ambition to join our team as a Manager, Procurement/Sourcing - PLASTICS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-class organization that is committed to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine procurement strategies and develop sourcing plans for plastics category

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of procurement initiatives

  • Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and terms

  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and innovation

  • Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and compliance regulations

  • Successfully implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in procurement/sourcing, specifically in the plastics category

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions

  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

This position is located in Houston, TX, USA. Other potential locations include Morrisville, NC or Pittsburgh, PA.
