Cambridge Savings Bank Corporate Treasury Analyst in Waltham, Massachusetts

POSITION: CORPORATE TREASURY ANALYST

Summary:

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for various operational, reporting and analytical functions related to liquidity management and financial reporting. This individual plays an active role in supporting the Bank’s Treasury function.

Key Result Areas:

  • Provide primary support for managing the Bank’s liquidity position, monitoring daily cash flows, and gauging funding requirements.

  • Monitor and manage Bank’s net cash and collateral requirements with counterparties and correspondents.

  • Assist in administration of swaps program and derivatives-related activity.

  • Monitor safekeeping and custodial activity for Bank’s investment portfolio; assist the Accounting function by researching non-reconciled discrepancies between Bank’s accounting records and custodians.

  • Collect and maintain historic interest rates, economic indicators and other market data from various sources, including Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ.

  • Produce comprehensive reporting materials for Liquidity (Daily) and Asset Liability Management (monthly), meeting strict deadlines.

  • Produce reporting materials.

  • Support Treasury group during periodic audits and examinations.

  • Assist with updating asset/liability models.

  • Record meeting minutes for monthly ALCO meetings.

  • Provide ad hoc modeling and analysis as needed in support of strategic initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customers.

  • Contribute to effective team management of all Bank problems, issues, and opportunities.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

    Qualifications:

  • BS degree, preferably in finance or economics, or 4+ years of banking or finance-related work experience.

  • Working knowledge of banking industry and understanding of bank asset/ liability management.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data management software systems.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Effective time-management skills and comfortable meeting strict deadlines.
