People * Customers * Trust We are currently seeking resumes for an Industrial Licensed HVAC Technician (1-opening) at our Wallula, WA Pulp and Paper facility. Description of role: The Industrial Licensed HVAC Technician is a member of the Electrical and Instrumentation team within our maintenance department. The Industrial The Industrial Licensed HVAC Technician works Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Pay and Benefits: The hourly rate for the E&I TECH (Industrial HVAC Tech) position is $43.10. Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA's 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for 40 hours of vacation after one (1) year of service and between 0 and 36 hours of vacation during their first year. Employees also receive nine (9) paid holidays and up to five (5) paid floating holidays per calendar year. This is a union environment. Employees will receive all of the rights and benefits associated with union membership when they join our mill facility Principal Accountabilities: Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment such as HVAC systems, Air Handlers and supporting equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on 480V, 230V, 120V, low volt, 3 phase and single-phase equipment and control systems. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mill HVAC systems - equipment rounds, filter checks, parts ordering, scheduling repairs, etc. Monitor and log freon usage per EPA regulations. Action items that are impacting mill Freon usage to minimize loss. Write work orders and build machinery history against the various HVAC assets in the facility. Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Assist and supports other general maintenance facility needs as needed. Operate equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts and boom man lifts). Training will be provided. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Possess Washington state HVAC/refrigeration system license (06A) or HVAC/refrigeration - restricted (6B) Candidates with heavy industrial environment preferred. Basic Qualifications: High school graduate, or equivalent. Technical degree in HVAC l with minimum 4 years industrial HVAC experience/other related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience. Possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong aptitude for HVAC tools and equipment - general hand tools, leak detecting equipment, volt/ammeter, ability to solder or braze and basic fabrication skills.
