We are in search of a CAD Drafter to join our diverse and dynamic organization out of our Walled Lake office.

This position is HYBRID (in the Walled Lake office 2 days per week).

As a core team member of our Substation Section, you will be interacting with an established group of engineers, designers and drafters, playing a valuable part in executing drafting of accurate drawing packages for utility power delivery projects, using MicroStation and AutoCAD.

What you will bring to the table:

· HS diploma or drafting certificate

· Level 1: Less than 1 year of drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Coursework and project work will be considered.

· Level 2: 1-3 years of drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Coursework and project work will be considered.

· Proficiency with the manipulation of vector and raster drawing files in AutoCAD and MicroStation.

· Ability to create and/or modify drawings from engineer-provided markups with a high level of attention to details.

· Skilled with file sharing, document management and collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, FTP, SharePoint, Fusion, Meridian, Autodesk Vault, Workfront etc.

· Strong professional verbal and written communication skills within a team environment.

· Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.

· Ability to perform tasks in a fast paced engineering/production environment.

It would be nice if you had:

· AS degree in Drafting and Design degree from an accredited institution

· Skilled with protection and control and substation physical drawings for electric utility transmission projects

· The ability to comprehend and implement a wide range of client CAD standards.

· Familiarity with 3-D modelling in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor.

· Experience with AutoCAD Electrical

· Knowledge of VBA and/or AutoLisp.

· QA/QC of drawings produced by the drafting team

· Command of creating process improvement policies, tools, and client specific CAD guides for drafting and engineering teams.

· Knowledge of Doc Control, Drawing Records Management, Preliminary and final IFC issuance

Pay Range:

Pay Range $37,050.00 - $66,975.00
