HIRING- Full Job Description TRAILER AND RV TECHNICIAN As a Trailer & RV Technician, you will work on all makes and models of trailers and RVs. Repairs and modifications must be done accurately and timely. We want to maximize our customers' uptime. You will work with other trained Technicians who will provide the necessary support and resources you need to perform outstandingly. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with manufacturer standards. Accurately diagnose cause of malfunction. Complete all work according to the applicable requirements. Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company procedures. Track work performed and document test procedures/results on repair order. Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical matter. Maintain an organized and clean workspace. Constructively communicate with other Shop personnel as required to satisfy customer needs. Participate in on-going technical training as required. Promptly respond to calls for assistance. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Maintain and be accountable for all company tools. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Report any safety issues immediately to management. DUTIES INCLUDE: Diagnose trailer or RV problem. Complete basic services and repairs. Examine assigned trailer / RV to determine if further work is required or recommended. Communicate with service manager immediately if: Additional work is needed. Work outlined is not needed. Repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Perform other tasks as assigned. Work on top of, inside and under trailers and RVs. Services You Would Help to Provide: Fabrication Diagnostics / Read Diagrams Generator Work Floor Replacements Hitch Installation Winterization Insurance Work System Checks Tire Service Brake System Repairs Air Conditioning Lighting / Electrical Wiring Awnings/ Doors Plumbing Repack Wheel Bearings Trailer hook-up and unhook REQUIREMENTS: 3+ Years of experience in fabrication / electrical or similar The discipline and skill to complete technical diagnostic and repair procedures Welding experience Electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills required Valid Driver's License / good record Good time management skills Ability to work with minimal supervision- individually and as part of a team High level of integrity and work ethic Exhibit good customer service and social skills Provide your own hand tools PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push and/or pull up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces. Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, climb and/or stoop. Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head. Work in tight spaces. Have the dexterity to use hand-tools.
