Job Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of commercial HVAC equipment within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions

  • Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables

  • The Project Manager helps oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation

  • Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetings

  • Expected to develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems; Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus

  • Understands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications

  • Conveys a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management

  • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

  • Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed each month correctly

  • Execute all major functions required for project management, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project close-out

  • Manage the Change Order process, assuring that scope creep does not occur

  • Assure that all projects will be managed to or exceed the percentage of booked project margin

  • Assure that job safety is priority on every project.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or 2+ years project management in mechanical installation, building automation, electrical installation or construction field.

  • Must be able to read blueprints, structural drawings and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or certification in BACnet; or LEED certification

  • PMP certification or working towards PMP Certification.

  • Associates Degree in electrical engineering or project management

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customers.

Pay Range:

$112,828 - $157,959 Annually
