Listed as a National and Local Best Place to Work, Bowers + Kubota Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented, efficient individual who will provide full-time clerical/administrative support in accounting.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting•Minimum 3 years Accounting experience required•Experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable•Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented•Demonstrates highest level of integrity and confidentiality•Highly motivated, positive attitude•Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel•Experience with Accounting software, preferably Deltek Vision•Ability to listen and follow instructions•Excellent written and verbal communication skills•Able to multi-task, prioritize, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines•Team player and able to work with minimal supervisionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:•Preparing monthly billings for various clients•Preparing monthly Hawaii General Excise Tax Returns•Reading contracts and ensure monthly billings abide by compensation and payment conditions described on contracts•Ensure accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable invoices•Review and reconcile Accounts Payable statements•Record activities of Accounts Receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable components, including bank deposits•Perform monthly review of Accounts Receivable reports for collection follow-up•Ensure records systems are accurately and efficiently maintained•Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner•Respond to client inquiries, requests, issues, and problems in a quick efficient manner•Conform with and abide by all legal regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions•Evaluate procedures continually in order to identify opportunities for improvement•Perform other duties as assignedLOCATION: Waipahu, HI
