Job Description:

Specialist Application engineer supporting UK specialist Customer on L3Harris products but predominantly on the AN/PRC-163, Along with the Lead FSR will be the focal customer contact for all technical aspects of the program delivery and support. Will be a technical representative for L3Harris for the program and will offer day to day support on all aspects involved with the technical support of the Program.

Provides technical support of the programs products/systems, as well as the integration of existing L3Harris and other vendors’ products. Provides, presents and interprets design, application and service information to program/sales staff and customers. Assesses and analyzes technical application of company products and competing equipment to meet customer future needs. May design systems to satisfy customer needs. Prepares detailed product specifications to customers and sales staff. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications. May prepare and present sales proposals. Will provide the program technical training, Install support and general on site support to the customer. Will be based at the customer Main site as detailed in the contract.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree (or equivalent experience)

  • Previous experience working within UKSF environment.

  • Systems and strong field engineering experience of tactical radio equipment (RF) to include the system integration, construction, operation and repair of static and mobile and man worn installations

  • Knowledge of AN/PRC-163,117G,152A and their integration into subsystems

  • Good understanding of the common technologies and waveforms utilized across tactical radios systems for voice and data transmission

  • Must have or be able to hold UK security Clearance at DV level

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Integration of third-party vendor software and equipment’s

  • Thorough working knowledge (ideally CCNA) of networking, IP & telephony applications, and radio techniques.

  • Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Initiative/Judgement / Problem Solving

  • Decision Making

  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and Hazardous locations

  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
