Ridgeview Medical Center Manager Security Support in Waconia, Minnesota

Purpose of Job Assist Director in all activities of the Security and Emergency Management including, security response, monitoring of doors and cameras and radio communications for RMC. Contributes to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of department programs and services. Job Functions 1.Provides leadership and oversight of the Security Support team and Emergency Management function. Supports the department director through development of programs, goals and objectives consistent with those of the organization's overall strategic plan and initiatives. 2.Supports security operations by providing; scheduling support and backup, training support, planning, and other identified needs 3.Manages staff resources by overseeing the recruiting, hiring and onboarding qualified individuals. Evaluates staff performance in an accurate, consistent, objective and timely manner. Develops core position hiring strategies and ensures opportunities for professional development. Creates a cohesive Security Support Team and Emergency Management function committed to providing distributive, clinical and service quality to all customers. 4.Manages operating expenses and key indicators within the budget for Security Support and Emergency Management Team. Supports department director in quality improvement efforts and service delivery that contributes to the overall success and financial viability of Security Support and Emergency Management Team. 5.Reviews and monitors applicable policies and procedures. As assigned, ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agency standards. 9.Proactively identifies and acts upon improvement projects and opportunities through observation, data analysis, engagement with partners, review of external impact factors and best practices, as well as ongoing communication with leadership and staff. 10.Assist with the planning, development and training of Emergency Preparedness for the organization. 11.Maintains communication and relationships with State and local agencies to keep RMC current with 911 radio and phone operations. 12.Establish a schedule of training and exercises to; practice/test the emergency plans, training security staff, train the organization. Where applicable, participate with community partners in community or statewide exercises maintaining compliance with accrediting agencies. 13.Documents the results of exercise and incidents in an after-action report to improve the facility's emergency operations plan and response activities. 15.Collaborate with the management team in the creation, development, education, training, and implementation of emergency plans, disaster plans, policies and procedures that are in alignment with state and other regulatory agencies and/or identified in the HVA risk analysis. 17.Facilitate and document the development of strategic plans for security and emergency preparedness 18.Organize and maintain Ridgeview Emergency preparedness documentation. 19.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary combined with equivalent experience Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience with progressive managing responsibilities Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to lead and develop team members Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to build strong working relationships at all levels Assures excellent service with a high degree of urgency to internal and external customers Systemic thinking when contemplating and implementing change Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above License/Certifications Completion of Incident Command Systems (ICS) 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 within 1 year from date of hire.
