The ISR Sector is one the business units within the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Segment, focused primarily on the design, modification, fielding and enduring support of both tactical and strategic Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft for US and international customers. The ISR Sector is headquartered in Plano, TX, and has additional operating locations in Greenville, Waco, and Rockwall, TX, as well as Tulsa OK and Nashville TN.

Job Description:
The Project Engineer (PE) holds technical responsibility and authority for the program under the direction of the Program Manager (PM), Engineering Leadership and the Chief Engineer (CE). This includes but is not limited to:
Planning and execution of program activities,
Documenting, an approval of program plans,
Ensuring life cycle process adherence,
Risk identification and management,
Overall program coordination during the program lifecycle.
To this end the individual Engineering Functional Task Leaders (Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Specialty Engineering, Logistic Engineering, Technical Publications, etc.) report to/and take direction from the PE for the assigned program operations.
Essential Functions:
Project Engineering includes executing the following tasking:
Proposal Execution – Formulate and communicate a solution, collect/review labor and material costs, and summarize proposal information for senior leadership review
Program Planning, Guidance, and Execution – Work with program management to develop the program execution schedule, effectively communicate with the entire program team, and guide the team through the execution of all required tasking to complete the contract
Customer and Senior Leadership Interaction and Communication – Effectively communicate with external customers and internal senior leadership on the design and implementation of the contractually required capabilities and manage expectations
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for various engineering disciplines. Experience with as many of the following engineering disciplines is desired:
Project Engineering
Systems Engineering
Software/ Hardware Engineering
Aeronautical Engineering (Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Stress, Mass Properties, Aerodynamics, etc.)
EMI/EMC Engineering
Test Engineering
It is also desired that a Project Engineering Candidate have the following:
Secret Clearance
Aircraft and System Integration Experience
Solid communication skills
Experience with FAA (STC) and Military (MTC) certification activities.
L3H Proposal Experience – Experience with L3H processes
Entire Program/Engineering Life Cycle Phases and Activities
Aircraft Modification and Modernization
FAA and Military Certification Experience
Architecting mission system configurations to meet customer needs
Ground, aircraft, space or shipborne mission system integration expertise
ISR products and Platforms
