Job Purpose/Objectives/Complexity/Financial Impact/Summary

The Maintenance Associate will oversee the performance and maintenance of production machinery and mobile equipment. Also responsible for general maintenance and repair for other assigned equipment and facilities (interior/exterior) including plumbing, pipefitting, air compressor/air systems, electrical, fire systems, basic carpentry, heating/cooling, rigging, and other building systems.

Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks/Direct Reports

*inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

*Safety is paramount. Employees understand the standards and the need for compliance.

*Troubleshoots issues, identifies causes, keeps performance logs, documents work performed, determine necessary repairs

*Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals.

*Performs general repairs not requiring a specialized technician. Routine repairs on building systems.

*Cleans and assists with facility upkeep/removing parts and re-installation as necessary. Preventative maintenance on equipment/facilities including oiling and lubrication of machinery. Schedules routine maintenance on machinery.

*Orders supplies and materials necessary for repairs and maintenance. Install parts.

*Record keeping of maintenance by machine and/or facility.

*Maintains appropriate parts/supply inventories and tools.

*Collaborates with management team on equipment modification/new installation.

*May obtain outside contractor services to aid in repair or installation.

*Related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications

Education:**Vocational/Community College training/course work preferred. High School diploma.

Experience:Multiple years of prior experience in maintenance preferred. Demonstrated mechanical skills. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry. Welding a plus, ability to use hand tools/power tools.

Computer Skills:General knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products. Demonstrated ability to maintain computer files per machine for performance history, supplies, issues, etc.

Certifications and Licenses:Master electrician license would be excellent, any maintenance related certifications.

Other Requirements:Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent time management skills and analytical/problem solving skills.

Physical Requirements /Environment

Prolonged periods standing/walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull as needed to reach, clean and service machinery. Visually required to inspect machinery. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders, working at heights, bend or crawl into awkward spaces.
