The Honeywell Foundation, Inc. Horticulture Specialist (Part-Time) in Wabash, Indiana

Overview: The Horticulture Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of all horticultural activities and the success of landscaped areas, decorative planters, and floral design on all Honeywell Arts and Entertainment properties. This role provides proper cultural care of multi-property horticulture elements which include but not limited to planting, mulching, watering, fertilizing, pruning, debris removal, and pest management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Note: Other duties may be assigned) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist with training of event volunteers ? Assist with the daily supervision of the flower and landscape team members ? Assist in the development and implementation of new landscape plantings ? In the absence of the Horticulture Manager / Charley Creek Gardens Director, develop and execute operational task lists ? Lead age-appropriate garden tours which require knowledge of established garden features and plant material located in the gardens ? Assist with the development and implementation of community-related garden activities ? Complete tasks as needed and/or assigned by the Horticulture Manager ? Other duties as assigned Responsibilities are subject to change and increase as the position evolves.
