Primary Function

The lead will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, service, cost, productivity and employee morale of their department. This individual will also be critical in driving and sustaining key projects which will help improve department key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

Must be able to work 2nd shift.

Schedule the workflow of employees to meet production requirements.

Audit processes and implement corrective actions when appropriate.

Administer plant policies consistently and fairly.

Insure proper training and documentation processes with respect to production, safety, and quality goals are met.

Coach employees on performance.

Show support for company programs and initiatives.

Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent problem solving skills.

Ability to motivate, couch and counsel employees.

Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes, determines root causes, and implement timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • 3+ years related experience

  • Manufacturing industry experience required

  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred

  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be able to stand all day, walk around continuously and lift up to 75 pounds.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
