Sun Pharmaceuticals, Inc Summer Intern - Finance in United States

Taro is a multinational, science-based pharmaceutical company dedicated to meeting the needs of its customers through the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of the highest quality healthcare products. Providing quality products through scientific innovations, diligence and precision is the goal of all of Taro's research programs. Taro develops, manufactures and markets prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products primarily in the United States, Canada and Israel.

Responsibilities:

The Taro Internship Program will allow students the opportunity to gain valuable experience that will integrate the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting. The Interns will work on projects with a global scale across various departments. The experience will go beyond the assigned internship position and include formal, ongoing training and development opportunities, formal presentations, and community involvement opportunities to further the students development.

The Finance Intern will support A/P - vendor profile updating for 1099 reporting and ACH payments, potential for Regulatory Exposure. This includes reaching out to vendors, obtaining information, including Form W-8 or 9 and loading into SAP.Additionally, the intern will obtain banking information in order to make payments via Taro's preferred method (ACH) vs check or wire. The Finance Intern will also supportA/R - with the Dunning Letter processs and collection of old and aging receivables to ensure letters are sent and conduct follow-up as required.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelorsprogram

  • Ability to work in Hawthorne, NY for 10 weeks (June 3rd August 9th)

  • Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 3 days a week in office

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Demonstrated leadership in academics, community services and/or extracurricular activities

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks and

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as on a team
