About the Function

Financial Controlling (FC) Programme Management T eam is established to drive a standard process & technical framework with their partners that works and supports Diageo to keep up market leader position. This purpose is achieved by embedded governance culture underpinned by global finance processes and policies that is monitored through relevant compliance measurement metrics.

Additionally the team is also accountable for the delivery of business strategic change programmes, driving value through common processes and using technologies and the deployment of lean, global and compliant ways of working across Diageo in a more consistent and efficient manner. The team is part of BS which is a combination of functional and regional to reflect our stakeholder structures and portfolio of programmes.

About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to act as Financial Control (FC) project SME in any type of projects impacting Finance process areas leading or supporting the FC Lead with analyse and design for global priority projects from Finance perspective and delivers end to end, which will include SBMs, Productivity projects, M&As, global change projects and Finance initiatives.

  • Process governance guardian ensuring that projects will design and deliver solutions that fit with our Global Finance Strategy. Supports to Govern FC processes and pro-actively act based on the result of FC measurement system.

  • Deliver seamless transitions together with the other global processes

  • Manage, coordinate and participate in outsourcing related projects across all BS Locations

  • Identify Process Improvement opportunities and drive Process Improvement agenda

  • Provide professional support as project SME covering the Finance framework areas for critical initiatives

  • Controls and compliance – Define right controls regarding change agenda and embed into global business processes

  • In Transitions - manage and build good relationship with partners across Diageo and Outsourcing Partners to ensure that they are aware of the Projects

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • University or College degree in finance or business

  • At least 5 years experience in statutory

  • Strong system knowledge in SAP Financials (S/4HANA)

  • Experience of working in a business shared service environment

  • Thorough understanding of project management

  • Capability to design and introduce global processes

  • Flexibility for adopting to change with positive attitude and relevant experience in change management

  • Great business partnering skills with a desire to make a difference

  • Excellent English communication skills

  • Power BI is an advantage
