Job Description:

The Sr. HRIS Analyst position is a permanent long-term position that we are looking to fill. Candidates for this position will need to have the flexibility to travel to the Baton Rouge Corporate office as needed.

This position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of the organization’s HRIS systems, including Workday, by working with our internal IT department, external consultants and HR management. Below are the responsibilities and knowledge requirements of the job:

SUPPORT

  • Responsible for supporting our HRIS technology and strategies with strong system knowledge, department partnerships and advocating for the end user.

  • Collaborates in-person and virtually with HR, IT, and external IT consultants to proactively support, coordinate and execute HR systems.

  • Partner with our IT department to oversee all testing for system upgrades, new configurations, and new Workday modules, etc.

  • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation and provides user training and hands-on support.

  • Assist the department in reviewing and streamlining process through means of Workday worksheets, reports, etc.

CONFIGURATION

  • Work closely with the benefits team to understand the New Years benefits as this position is solely responsible for configuring the annual benefit open enrollment and the new hire benefit options.

  • Responsible for maintaining and administering the annual reporting requirements under the ACA. This includes generating employee statements (1095c) and State reporting requirements such as the 1094’s.

  • Assist in monitoring part-time employees eligible for benefits as required under the ACA.

  • Create reports and presents findings and recommendations to HR and company leaders.

  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

  • Maintains process and system documentation for assigned applications.

  • Provides end user support and issue resolution for all assigned applications.

  • Work with the Compensation team to configure new hire evaluations (employee and supervisor), annual performance evaluations, merit process, etc

  • Assist Compensation team in creating and maintaining compensation grades including premiums for certain geographic locations.

  • Administer and maintain the configuration of internal programs such as our internal candidate pipeline for specific positions.

STRATEGIC

  • Use the Workday Community site to troubleshoot and identify ways to better utilize Workday.

  • Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of Workday.

  • Develops a plan to modify or replace Workday applications, modules, and systems to meet business objectives through planning, development, testing, and implementation of Workday modules.

  • Collaborates with other analyst and Workday staff to plan, modify, and customize Workday

  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

  • Applies analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and resolve issues.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Workday HCM configuration experience within multiple discipline (HCM, Time and Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting preferred).

  • Attention to detail and ability to document processes and configuration meticulously.

  • Experience in Human Resources Processes.

  • Experience in designing, testing, deploying, and supporting all aspects of Workday

  • Working knowledge of formal principles and practices in security and compliance as applied to HRIS.

  • Familiarity with Workday Security roles, models and domain security impacts

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently with high initiative; self-starter, able to identify, analyze, recommend, implement/ execute, and support

  • Superior problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other HRIS Analysts, Business Process Owners, HR Operations, and various IT team members to support deadlines

  • Excellent organizational, collaboration and communication skills and ability to work within a team-centric environment.
