Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the Starline Team remotely.

Position Summary: Provide in-depth analysis of financial results to senior management to aid in business decision making. Support the Manager of FP&A with various reporting and projects as needed. Provide insight into the entity financial results to Starline. Utilize various tools to provide the financial results and the analysis

Essential Functions

  • Assist in financial reporting & other financial analysis monthly for:

  • Internal financial reporting requirement

  • BPC/Group reporting requirements

  • LNCA reporting requirements

  • Departmental/Cost Center budget/forecast analysis

  • Support the annual Budget process

  • Assist in the development of the quarterly forecasting process

  • Partner with Departmental/Cost Center leaders to review actual results, compare to budget/forecast and summarize variances for management reporting

  • Liaison between finance and other departments on various projects and reporting requirements

  • Validate financial related information from other departments as requested

  • Lead special projects to analyze profitability and growth opportunities

  • Develop financial models utilizing various reporting tools as needed

  • Respond to various ad hoc requests for data and financial information

  • Identify opportunities for process and reporting improvements and implement as appropriate

  • Planful administration backup and report writing

  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize, and manage a diversified workload. Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.

  • Exceptional computer skills required. Proficient in all MSFT Office related software. Experience and understanding of hierarchies, data structure and data management. Experience with various tools used for reporting purposes (PowerBI reporting, BPC, Planful)

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener and be able to develop solutions for reporting requirements across various departments in the organization. Problem solving skills are important.

  • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business. Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions

  • Understand all aspects of the financial statements and the way activity flows between the statements. Detail oriented and be able to investigate and review data to identify discrepancies

  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, clients, public groups, and/or boards of directors

  • Understand foreign exchange and impact to financial statements

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent years of experience

  • 5-8 years’ relevant experience; International experience a plus

    Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.

  • Regularly required to stand; walk and communicate with others

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
