This position is contingent on a contract award.

Provides the managerial and business process leadership to ensure the continued development and the execution of operational improvement and client satisfaction initiatives. This position has overall responsibility for the development, execution and management of an operating division with $60-$100M in annual revenue and substantial growth targets. This is a hybrid position, incorporating the roles of Business Development and Delivery Development to drive revenue growth for assigned Magellan Federal portfolio and adjacent markets. This role also builds and maintains collaborative internal and external relationships to include combining resources with Magellan.

  • Works with the CEO and Chief Growth Officer to grow the division’s portfolio.

  • Leads to exceeds all contract performance objectives, addressing critical client needs.

  • Executes revenue and cost objectives above expectations and building sustainable revenue streams for the future.

  • Drives effective alignment of business processes, technology, and human capital to ensure all business systems are synchronized for maximum efficiency and client satisfaction.

  • Defines and manages to key metrics/performance indicators for the division and instills best practices and process standardization across the division.

  • P artners with other key corporate functions to ensure effective support and timely flow of accurate and dependable business data essential to managing the business.

  • Develops strategies to anticipate for future market changes and assess the likely impact on clients. Develop mitigating strategies to accommodate growth opportunities and trends.

  • Establishes themselves as a valued, trusted, and respected member of the Magellan Federal Corporate Leadership Team. Develops close working relationships with members of the team and works cooperatively with all members of the executive team.

  • Embodies a “One Magellan” philosophy and commit to the organization’s high level of integrity and company values, including compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Master's degree required from an accredited graduate program in Health Sciences, preferably Behavioral Health.

15+ years of professional experience in program operations and business development experience, preferably with large, complex federal health care product /services contracts with a track record of winning and retaining major contracts.

Experience in a leadership role in both large and mid-sized companies involving a combination of operations, business development and general management experience in the Federal healthcare/health services industry.

Have established contacts and relationships with Navy CNIC customer.

Demonstrate the ability to look out 2-3 years and ensure that a strategic road map is in place for the future.

Strong financial acumen with a focus on cost management and reduction of performance drag to increase operational agility.

Outstanding organizational leadership skills‐strong written and oral communication skills, exceptional ability with client relationships, facile with employees at all levels, and treats people with respect. A leader that builds through teamwork; a motivator.

Related professional or combination of professional/military experience in DoD, VA or civilian agencies with experience in healthcare services to major government markets.

Successful track record of building, leading and retaining diverse, multi-functional high performing teams comprised of former government and military veterans.

Proven experience in developing strong client partnerships.

Understanding of proposal development and capture processes for complex federal procurements.

Understanding of cost and pricing techniques and win strategies.

Understanding of the FAR and its implications on work pursued and managed.

Experience driving collaborative internal and external trusted relationships that are collaborative, exceed results and accelerate innovation.

A strong balance of strategic and tactical skills, with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought.

An enthusiastic, high-energy and motivating leader who is visibly passionate and is capable of inspiring and galvanizing an organization.

A strong focus on execution. This individual must be strategic and creative, but strong execution capabilities are critical for success. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
