Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in release management, AWS architecture, database management (RDS, NoSQL), AI technologies, and quality practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes to support our fast-paced development environment. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps principles, along with hands-on experience in AWS services, database management, and AI technologies.

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to Sr. IT Manager.

What you will do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, including architecture design, networking, security, and cost optimization.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes, including release management and rollback strategies.

  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Manage relational databases (RDS) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) for storing and retrieving data efficiently.

  • Implement AI technologies and machine learning models to enhance system performance and automation.

  • Monitor system performance and reliability, and implement necessary improvements using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems.

  • Implement security best practices throughout the development and deployment process, including vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and compliance checks.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality practices across the DevOps team.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a focus on release management, AWS architecture, and database management.

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

  • Solid understanding of database management, including relational databases (RDS) and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with AI technologies and machine learning models is a plus.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and tactical operational levels. Works to achieve goals while overcoming obstacles and/or planning for contingencies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 5 %); will include some overnight travel.

  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

    Physical Demands:

    Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Keyboarding (70-90%)

  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (70-90%)

    Work Environment:

    100% Remote: Work environment is at home.

    Compensation :
