Description

We are seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) in several locations in Brooklyn & The Bronx to provide specialized individual services to preschool students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities:

  • Provide SEIT services to help a child with developmental disabilities achieve their next goal

  • Implementation of the child's Individualized Education Program (IEP)

  • Support teachers in the development of daily lesson plans

  • Integrate IEP goals and services into daily learning and routines

  • Implement, coordinate, and monitor child's behavior management program

  • Collaborate with preschool directors and teachers

  • Coordinate child's educational programs with teachers, therapists, and parents

  • Gather progress reports from related service providers

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team communication and service plans.

  • Ensure that services delivered appropriately address the goals as stated in the IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan).

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Special Education

  • NYS certification in Students with Disabilities

  • Experience with NYC DOE SEIT Program;

  • Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) Experience a must
