Kapsch TrafficCom North America Software Support Engineer - Data Analyst II in United States

Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.

Data Analyst II will provide data analysis, data trending, data management improvements, system troubleshooting support, report enhancements and new report development for Kapsch tolling systems in operations & revenue collection in the US.

  • Development of custom queries to analyze large datasets

  • New report development or enhancements to existing reports

  • Mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms

  • Build well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers

  • Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives

  • Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization

  • Drive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies

  • Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions

  • Work collaboratively with appropriate technical teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance

  • Build and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality

    What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Business, Engineering, Science, Technology diploma or equivalents.

  • Minimum three years of experience as a data analyst on an operational system.

  • Minimum three years of scripting experience

  • Minimum three years of experience with data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data).

  • Three years of experience utilizing and developing within Power BI.

    Our top Candidates will have:

  • Preferred knowledge working as a data analyst with tolling systems

  • Preferred knowledge working with systems that process financial data.

  • Master’s degree, preferred in Business or Computer Science
