    Summary of responsibilities:

  • Receive customers with eagerness, by phone or in-person

  • Open the repair orders by indicating the information related to the vehicle to be repaired

  • Coordinate and book appointments according to workshop availability.

  • Accurately record the client's requests on the Worksheet, one operation for each request. Always indicate the Repair Type.

  • If necessary, estimate the repair costs of the vehicule by examining the components under the truck, inside the hood or elsewhere and provide it to the customer.

  • Notify the customer whether repairs fall into manufacturer’s warranty or not.

  • Establish the method of repair payment with the customer.

  • Keep customer informed the status of parts necessary for repair (e.g., back order)

  • Promote preventive maintenance programs, specials or any other appropriate products and services for the customer's vehicle.

  • Close repair orders once they has been verified by the workshop foreman, and assign the costs to the customer, the warranty or a request for a good agreement policy.

    Qualifications:

  • French and English (spoken, read and written – basic level, in order to serve clients in English as needed)

  • Oriented towards the sale of products and services;

  • Good knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics;

  • Ability to negotiate professionally with customers;

  • The ability to cope with the emotional reactions of the clientele;

  • Good team-working skills;

  • Extensive experience in interpreting warranties specific to the trucking industry.
