We are looking for a Senior Project Manager / Delivery Manager to join our team!

What will be your main activities?

  • You will be responsible for executing independently the communication part in our global railway projects which includes the following: Radio systems (such as TETRA, GSM-R, WiFi, Telephony, Fibre backbone (SDH, MPLS) including core and access layers, CCTV & Access Control plus intrusion detection, Passenger Information Display, Announcement Systems and SCADA systems), and more.

  • You ensure self-sufficient the technical and commercial success, customer satisfaction, by project completion within schedule, budget, and quality standards.

  • To this end, you will form and manage your project team (resource planning), establish efficient project structures (project planning) and oversee the complex project execution from engineering, design, installation, test and commissioning phase to acceptance and handover.

  • You coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, who represent an important part of the project volume.

  • Moreover, you implement the projects successfully, providing self-contained recommendations for future projects based on lessons learnt.

  • You monitor, track and report budget and time aspects, implementing mitigation measures as needed.

What do you need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a university degree (Master’s/Diploma) in an information science or engineering discipline (e.g. communications engineering, electrical engineering).

  • In addition, you have longtime professional experience in project management of telecommunication projects involving many different communication technologies (fibre optic networks, radio system, WiFi, CCTV, etc.).

  • It would be an advantage if you have an industry background & extensive experience in railway engineering.

  • You have experience in managing and leading global teams.

  • Ideally, you will prove your project management expertise with relevant certifications such as PM@Siemens, PMI or IPMA (C-Level).

  • You are comfortable working in international project environments, with excellent command of spoken and written English, and are willing to travel (approx. 20%). German language skills are beneficial.

  • You are committed to being based in Germany while participating in international projects.
