Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:1.Provides HVAC support to the Housing Services Department by installing, maintaining and repairing: heating, ventilation and cooling units for residential buildings to ensure compliance with all Agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies;2.Diagnoses, repairs and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical components of heating, ventilation and cooling systems;3.Obtains any replacement parts and calibrates systems to the manufacturer's recommendations;4.Coordinates with outside consultants, contractors and vendors, as needed;5.Assists Physical Plant Operations Engineer with the implementation and management of a preventative maintenance plan;6.Assists in maintaining physical plant of building including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, back flow testing, fire suppression systems, and booster pumps;7.Maintains good working order of company tools and reports any mechanical issues to supervisory chain;8.Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in Agency vehicle;9.Handles work orders in a prompt, efficient, and safe manner;10.Responsible for handling and/or coordinating services to resolve any HVAC related emergencies, as needed. PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day. X Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.X Climb up and down up to 6 flights of stairs at a time.X Lift up to 50 pounds.
