Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior iOS Software Developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be leading a team of engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential. What you will do Manage a software development team to design and build applications for the iOS platform Enforce the best software architecture and design pattern, along with established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles ensure best practices Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Support production issues, triage and troubleshooting. Manage and drive all parts of SDLC including CICD build, software release and deployment. Interface with product owner and customer to define, refine, decompose requirements. Maintain high level code quality, organization, and automatization Direct junior Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, while collaborating with Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences Actively participate in all team Agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality Remain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, 3rd party libraries, etc.) Influence and contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team Actively engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.) Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions Review merge requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms Experience with Objective-C or Swift and Cocoa Touch Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards Fluent in Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications Knack for benchmarking and optimization Experience understanding of code versioning tools Experience managing and owning continuous integration pipeline What you need to have Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience At least 6 years of experience in software engineering At least 5 years of experience building iOS applications At least 4 years of experience with Swift Fluent with Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines Experience with Git version control Strong communication skills, spoken and written.
