Job Summary:

R3 seeks a senior level Graphic Designer in support of curriculum development projects. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with the curriculum development team members to create or enhance still and interactive graphics for MS PowerPoint© presentations. All graphics produced shall enhance the visual learning experience in support of the overall learning content.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize visuals based on ideas from communications with the curriculum development team.

  • Prepare rough drafts, present to team, and revise as needed to create final product deliverables.

  • Ensure proper branding for all visuals and presentations, including colors, layouts and command logos.

  • Format reports in Microsoft Word when requested.

  • Format PowerPoint presentations to make content more visual, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to digest.

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects within given deadlines.

  • Resident subject matter expert in graphic design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of Graphic Design experience with at least 5 years designing and laying out curriculum materials for U.S. Navy training programs.

  • Knowledge of Navy Education and Training Command (NETC) curriculum / graphic design requirements.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver), open source or proprietary production tools, SharePoint, MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio.

  • Ability to conceptualize, design, and create highly effective graphics.

  • Experience editing / touching up low-quality photographs, and re-creating line drawings and/or creating photo-like images from line drawings.

  • Able to use computer-aided design systems and artistic techniques to create and revise still graphics and 2d / 3d animations; use computer-based design techniques, and computer-generated media to design new still and interactive images.

  • Must be able to work independently with limited direct supervision.

  • Must possess good time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with team members to execute and implement graphic designs.

  • Must have the ability to determine optimal file format, size, and resolution for final delivery
