Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) are integral to ensuring uniformity in the operations of our Service / Parts departments and facilities across our organization. The ideal candidate for this role can transition from dealership to dealership and navigate the Fixed Operations environment as if it were their primary workplace. This role is fundamentally built on enhancing organizational efficiency for Bretz RV & Marine by leading our teams in boosting their performance through targeted training, consistent support, and accountability.

ROMs must excel in working with, motivating, communicating with, directing, and understanding people. Emotional intelligence is critical in this role, as it is the base of the manager's ability to effectively manage relationships, resolve conflicts, and motivate team members. ROMs will also coordinate closely with other Regional Operations Managers and our leaders at the Operations Center to ensure that new and existing processes align with the broader operational goals of the dealership network.

This position is dynamic and will continue to evolve as Bretz expands, but the primary objectives remain clear: to implement standard operating procedures and train teams to consistently deliver a world-class customer experience while ensuring profitability in your respective departments. These initiatives are paramount and will continue to guide the role as our operations expand and develop.

Required Bretz Leadership Qualities:

  • Integrity:  We do the right thing. Always.

  • Lead By Example:  We model our core values, guiding others based on our actions, not just our words.

  • Decisive:  We quickly and effectively make decisions

  • Train & Develop:  We intentionally improve our teams, ourselves, and the company.

  • Humble | Hungry | Smart:  We are the Ideal Team Player

      Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) for each position within the parts and service departments that are uniform company-wide. The procedures need to be sensible, be applicable to the mission, vision, and values of The Bretz Companies, and, when adhered to, result in successful customer interactions. Once SOPs are implemented, this position ensures Bretz’s standards are maintained and upheld to create positive, world-class customer interactions across all locations.

  • Distribute memos detailing SOPs to provide direction and clarification to all dealerships.

  • Ensure that all team members have access to training necessary for their job requirements and maintain organized records to track the training progress of both employees and managers. This position is responsible for developing training materials and assisting with the implementation of the company’s Learning Management System.

  • Travel to each assigned location monthly to ensure a clear understanding of training materials and that required SOP implementation is occurring. Offer help and onsite training when necessary. Work together with managers to discover inefficiencies and resolve issues as a team.

  • Set and follow-up on individual and departmental goals. Celebrate the success of achieving these goals with the individuals and departments. Provide monthly coaching evaluations of manager and employee progress, offer yearly training programs and provide verbal and written feedback when necessary.

  • Coach and develop store-level employees and managers to drive efficiency and profitability through the implementation of various training programs across all teams.  Help in-store management develop regular training schedules for these positions to strengthen sales skills and confidence.

  • Help employees to think outside the box on how they contribute to team success. Help managers capitalize on individual employee strengths to meet and exceed team expectations.

  • Work with managers to develop incentive programs to improve employee job satisfaction and the overall customer service experience.

  • Quality Control: Our teams must take pride in the work they perform for each other and work performed for our customers. The goal is to complete work with a combination of excellent speed and craftsmanship.

  • “Touch it Once” principle: This doesn’t mean literally you will only work on a unit only once, or move a unit once during the work order process. It does however imply that as few movements and contacts as possible always ensures the most efficient completion of a repair or install.

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, college level education is a plus but not necessary.

  • Professional and approachable appearance and demeanor is necessary.

  • Ability to recognize inefficiencies and develop creative, logical solutions

  • Organizational excellence and problem-solving skills

  • Coaching and teaching ability - must have a passion for helping people grow

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to write and assemble information into working training materials

  • Flexible schedule and willing to travel. This work environment can include weekends and holidays.

  • Deadline and detail oriented.

  • Must be familiar with all Google Workplace software.

  • Drive, determination and eagerness to create a learning environment for a variety of teams and positions

    Experience:

  • 5+ years of previous experience as a people manager preferably in a retail environment or RV / Automotive related field

  • Experience and knowledge of leading, training, and motivating teams consisting of 50-100 people

  • Proven ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment

  • Familiarity with dealership operations and industry regulations a plus

    Schedule:

  • Full time

  • Overtime and weekends as needed

  • Sundays off

    Compensation:

  • $100,000 to $120,000 annually depending on performance

    Relocation

Montana has become the spot to be. Kevin Costner and his Yellowstone and 1883 have single-handedly helped Montana become discovered. If you want to move here, please know that we have stoplights, hitching posts still exist in some small towns, and the church is still the busiest place to go on Sundays. It's a safe place to live and a great place to raise a family looking for adventure. The cost of living is far lower than in other parts of the country. If you've ever dreamed of moving to the Northwest, now may be the time to turn a dream into reality!

    About Our Dealership

Bretz RV & Marine opened for business in Missoula, Montana, in 1967. Until then, Frank and Vi Bretz had been operating a service station and renting U-Hauls in central Missoula. Searching for a new camping trailer turned into a new business opportunity. Not only did the Bretz family get a new camper, they decided to get into the business of selling and renting small travel trailers.

Today Bretz RV & Marine is still a family-owned and operated business with five dealerships across Montana and Idaho. We are fortunate to have grown from just over 100 employees to nearly 400 employees in the last five years. We do all we can to offer our teams an excellent place to work and advance in our company. We start by finding great people with high energy and then find the best place for them to be successful in our dealerships.

Throughout the year, you will see Bretz RV & Marine sponsoring events from local school functions to veterans associations, Toys-4-Tots, Make-A-Wish, and many more. It's important to contribute to the communities in which we do business.
