Job Profile Summary

We are seeking an Proposal Writer to gather information, write proposals that meets the client’s requirements, format the information according to the company’s policies, and obtain supervisor approval. This position will be full-time and remote .

What You’ll Do

  • Gather relevant data, statistics, and supporting information

  • Research products, services, technology, or concepts

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather insights and technical details

  • Strategize with the Opportunity Developer and other team members to position proposals and develop persuasive strategies based on audience needs

  • Write straightforward, concise, and persuasive proposal content

  • Organize information logically and ensure consistency throughout the document

  • Create graphics and visuals to help strengthen or communicate the message

  • Present information logically and clearly for reader comprehension

  • Translate complex information into accessible language

  • Ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed

  • Tailor proposals to specific audiences

  • Work with graphic designers to create visually appealing proposal layouts

  • Incorporate graphics, charts, and visuals

  • Articulate key points effectively

  • Review and edit proposals for clarity, coherence, and accuracy

  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Expert knowledge and practical application experience with Microsoft tools suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Experience writing bid proposals for government related bid solicitations such as; Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), Invitation to Negotiate (ITN), Invitation to Bid (ITB) is preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
