Job Summary:

As a Principal Network Engineer at CRST , you are expected to plan, develop, implement, and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure and systems. IT professionals play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing technology resources to meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders and optimizing technology resources to support business operations, enhance productivity, and drive innovation. You will contribute to areas such as technical support, system administration, networking, database management, software development, and project management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and identify solutions to complex problems to strengthen and improve existing network and security infrastructure.

  • Design and implement new network and security architectures to support scalable growth.

  • Develop network and security architecture designs that meet business requirements while accounting for current and future technology needs.

  • Responsible for the network and security monitoring to create visibility and maintain monitoring solutions to identify threats and intrusion.

  • Responsible for advanced technical support for all aspects of network and firewall operations including maintenance and troubleshooting complex operational issues.

  • Regularly supervise, train, and mentor the Network Team members to elevate and strengthen their skills.

  • Collaborate within the infrastructure teams and throughout the IT organization to develop standards and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong analytical skills are critical for identifying, troubleshooting, and solving problems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (especially technical writing)

  • Able to excel and contribute in a team environment

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the OSI Network model with a primary focus on the TCP/IP stack and the following network-related services and protocols: TFTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, SYSLOG, VoIP, OSPF, EIGRP, multicast, policy-based routing, port-channels, QoS, traffic-shaping, load balancing, etc.

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls and VPN technologies

  • Experience and knowledge of various Cisco products and Palo Alto Firewalls.

  • Able to multi-task

  • Coordinate with various departments and/or external resources during projects or operational needs. Able to research various applications for monitoring and/or operational support
