Description:

  • The candidate would perform development using Oracle as backend and some basic front end on .Net and browser-based platforms to develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals and ensure software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.

  • Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.

  • Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

  • Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.

  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.

  • Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.

  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause.

  • Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.

  • Oracle SQL / PLSQL

  • Strong knowledge in Oracle database Design, Query and tuning.

  • Strong foundation understanding of database concepts and development technologies.

  • Extensive SQL and PL/SQL experience required.

  • Experience designing tables, data analysis, writing queries (SQL and PL/SQL), performance tuning, and table partitions.

  • Authority on Oracle PL/SQL development and Oracle Performance tuning.

  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux Shell scripting (Korn Shell (KSH), BASH, etc.).

  • Must have strong PL/SQL skills and must be proficient with Oracle; T-SQL/SQL Server skills are nice to have.

  • Hands-on experience in database development with efficient SQL, performance tuning and debugging skills.

  • Working knowledge on Agile Scrum/ Kanban process as a Team developer.

  • Knowledge of Finance and Global Markets products – Derivatives, Securities, SFT is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
